KEY LEARNINGS

The opportunities and challenges of digital entrepreneurship reshaped my opinions. Prior to this module, I focused mainly on the advantages digital entrepreneurship presented, such as its scalability and universal reach. Looking at it completely, its challenges play an equal part. The rapid technological changes, cybersecurity risks and severe market saturation (World Economic Forum, 2020). I am now able to look at digital entrepreneurship from a more holistic viewpoint.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

With the knowledge provided, I have been able to develop a more realistic and critical outlook, having acknowledging that entrepreneurship consists of both risk and reward. This has advanced my ability to decipher uncertainty and to think critically about undertaking decisions.

APPLICATION TO LEARNING

Still using my hypothetical digital jewellery business, I would utilise my digital platforms to approach the global markets whilst applying cybersecurity procedures to protect my customer’s data. This is imperative in building trust and ensuring long term progress (WEF, 2016).
